A final public workshop open to the entire community will be held Monday June 8 at 7:00 p.m. in the Daniel Hand High School Dining and Assembly Hall.
Grace Cummings, a student-athlete at DHHS, was recently honored by the MPS Board of Education for her selection as the 2015 recipient of the "National High School Spirit of Sport Award". The award was created by the National Federation of State High School Associations to recognize those individuals who exemplify the ideals of the spirit of sport that represent the core mission of education-based athletics.
The NSTA/Toshiba Exploravision Awards has selected a fourth grade team from Island Avenue School to represent Region 1 in the national competition.
This year, all districts are mandated to administer the SBAC to all students in grades 3-8, and grade 11 in the areas of reading, writing and math. The science CMT/CAPT test will continue to be administered in Grades 5, 8, and 10.
