The Board of Education recognized Ms. Patricia McCahill, retired Daniel Hand High School Physical Education Teacher at their February 2nd meeting. Ms. McCahill was inducted into the Connecticut Lacrosse Hall of Fame at a ceremony on January 10, 2010. Mr. Frank Barron, Daniel Hand High School English Teacher, read Ms. McCahill’s induction speech from the ceremony, citing highlights of her 22 year coaching career during her 34 year teaching career at Daniel Hand. He noted that Ms. McCahill holds a record of 221-88-9 at Daniel Hand and her coaching tenure was marked by excellence and the three values that made her teams stand out as winners; desire, determination and dedication.
