Dear Friends:

Let me begin by wishing you and your family a very happy and healthy Thanksgiving holiday. If you are visiting relatives or family friends, may your journey be safe and your transportation arrangements be on time. We are thankful that the difficulties experienced due to Hurricane Sandy are behind us. I want to express my sincere appreciation to the many staff members in the Town Departments and the Madison Public Schools who assisted with communications and worked collaboratively in the storm recovery.

The following are important informational updates:

School Calendar

The 2012-2013 school year calendar for Madison Public Schools was revised at the Board of Education meeting on November 13, 2012. The revised calendar is posted on our website.

Please note:  

• Students will attend school on Tuesday, January 2, 2013. This day was originally scheduled as a professional development day for staff members. 
• Friday, June 21, 2013 is the last day of school for students unless it is necessary to compensate for additional days that school is closed due to inclement weather.

Early Dismissal 

• Students will be dismissed early on Wednesday, November 21^st.  The early dismissal schedule is posted on the website.
•  Elementary School students will be dismissed early on November 29^th and December 3^rd for Parent Conferences.
