As you might be aware, a critical referendum that will determine the future of the Madison Public Schools facilities will take place on Tuesday September 26th from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
In anticipation, the PTO of each school will be collectively hosting an informational session for parents only on September 18th at 6:30 p.m. at Island Avenue School. I will share facts about the Board of Education's plan and be available to answer questions. Lead consultant for the district, Chuck Warrington, P.E., Senior Project Manager for Colliers International, and Stacy Nobitz, Madison Director of Finance, will join me.
In short, after nearly three years, the Board of Education concluded that this long-term plan would:
A comprehensive fact sheet has been developed.
Beginning Monday September 11th through Tuesday September 26th , I will host office hours at the Board of Education Offices (10 Campus Dr.) from 7:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. for appointments scheduled 24 hours in advance in order to answer any questions or share any factual information.
As I've done over the past five years, I will be hosting a "Brown Bag Lunch" gathering for informal dialogue on any topic on September 18th from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. in the Local History Room at the Scranton Library.
