Halloween at Polson

This year, as in previous years, at Polson we will allow costumes on Tuesday, October 31.  For all students who choose to dress in costume, we request they donate $1.00 (or more) to go to the Madison Food Pantry. (I have already been in contact with the Food Pantry and they are very appreciative.)

I have communicated the following to the students and I ask for your support as well:

  • No masks, accessories (shields, swords, etc...) or parts that cause distractions (flashing lights, siren noises, large costume parts etc...).
  • No violent or inappropriate themes.
  • Students need to be able to sit and speak comfortably in any costume.
  • Hats are allowed, but should not obstruct a student's ability to see in classrooms or in the hallways.
  • School rules apply related to dress code and appropriateness of costumes.

Please remember that this is completely voluntary for students. I support student and family decisions related to costumes. Although October 31 is Halloween, it is also a regular school day and costumes should not interfere with learning.

Feel free to contact me, Mrs. Frost, or our school counselors if you have questions about a particular costume.

As always, do not hesitate to call or email me if you have any questions or concerns.

Respectfully yours,

Frank Henderson

Principal
