Ethan O’Brien Nominated for USA Football Heart of a Giant Award
Daniel Hand High School Senior Ethan O’Brien has been nominated for the USA Football Heart of a Giant Award. The Heart of a Giant Award is a Tri-State award given by USA Football in partnership with the New York Giants to recognize young people of high character who have shown perseverance in the face of obstacles.
Ethan was nominated by his coach, Erik Becker, who said Ethan is “a gentleman, a scholar, & an athlete. He embodies all that we hope our players will strive to be. I nominated Ethan because of the adversity he has overcome & the exceptional young man he is.”
Ethan has been a member of the Hand varsity football team since his freshman year. Of the 30 nominees, Ethan is the only student from Connecticut. Use the link to learn more about Ethan and cast your vote!
