English Learner Student Field Trip

Before winter break, Madison Public Schools had its first ever field trip for our English Learner students. Nearly 40 students from grades K-12 attended. The trip consisted of a visit to Scranton Library and to RJ Julia’s Book Store. At the library, students received a tour and were able to get library cards and learn about all of the resources available to them through the card. At the book store, students were given the opportunity to purchase books that interested them. The trip was a great opportunity for EL students from different grades to meet one another and explore some of the great shops and resources Madison has to offer.
