The Board of Education, at its meeting on April 2, 2013, appointed Anthony (TJ) Salutari as the Principal for the Daniel Hand High School, effective July 1, 2013. Mr. Salutari will replace Barbara Britton who will retire from her position at the end of the 2012- 2013 school year.

The Superintendent of Schools will host a drop-in communication session for all parents in response to the Newtown tragedy this past Friday. You are invited on Monday December 17, 2012 from 3:00 - 5:00 PM in the Hammonasset Room at Central Office located at 10 Campus Drive.
In order to accommodate working parents, a second session has been added Tuesday, December 18, 2012 from 5:30 - 7:30 PM(prior to the Board of Education Meeting)in the Hammonasset Room at Central Office

July 20, 2012 - At a special meeting of the Board of Education, Ms. Rebecca Roy was appointed as Assistant Principal at the Dr. Robert H. Brown Middle School and Mrs. Rebecca Frost was appointed as Assistant Principal at the Walter C. Polson Middle School.

On June 5, 2012, the Board of Education recognized staff retiring as of June 30, 2012. Following the recognition portion of the meeting, a cake and coffee reception was held in their honor, with entertainment provided by the Daniel Hand High School Encore Group.
