Bell Schedules

The transportation service provider works in concert with the Madison Public Schools' staff to provide effective transportation services. It may be necessary, though not usual, to adjust bell times during the school year in order to ensure the efficiency of the student transportation system.

Tiering of school start and end times allows transportation services to be more effective and efficient.

Did you know…the bell schedule is a tiered structure so buses can be used more effectively for each of the routes? Each bus typically serves 2-3 bus runs, thus making a bus route for Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3. Each tier must be "balanced" to obtain optimal service within the parameters of our transportation resources.
