Board of Distinction Award
Madison Board of Education is awarded the 2013 Connecticut Association of Boards of Education (CABE) Board of Distinction Award and Award of Excellence for Educational Communications
The Connecticut Boards of Education (CABE) recognizes boards which provide effective leadership to their districts through the use of good practices. This awards program acknowledges the importance of school board members and superintendents working together as effective teams. Superintendent Thomas R. Scarice congratulated the Madison Board of Education at the October 29, 2013 Board of Education meeting for being awarded the Connecticut Boards of Education Board of Distinction Award – Level II. This award recognizes Boards which are truly exemplary. To be eligible for this higher level award, the Board must have achieved Level I distinction at least twice in the past four years.
In addition the Madison Board of Education won the CABE 2013 Award of Excellence for Educational Communications Contest for its newsletter, The Board Bridge.
These awards were formally presented at the CABE Leadership Awards Reception at the CABE / CAPSS Convention on Friday, November 15th at the Mystic Marriott Hotel in Groton.
