BROWN PEER SUPPORTER PROGRAM

Brown Peer Supporters are classroom and school wide leaders, role models and helpers. After participating in weekly training sessions with Mrs. Kilian and Ms. Hayes, Peer Supporters provide gentle support to classmates who may need help with "school survival skills" such as organization, time management and social interactions. Peer Supporters model appropriate classroom and social behavior, demonstrate leadership, kindness, responsibility and acceptance of others. Peer Supporters apply their leadership skills not only in the classroom but they are integral to the coordination, promotion and implementation of various school-wide school climate initiatives such as World Kindness Day, Random Acts of Kindness Week, Start With Hello Week, Mix It Up Day, No One Eats Alone Day and Be The One Day.
