Drop off & Pick up Proceedures

Dear Jeffrey Families,

The spring is a busy and exciting time at Jeffrey School.  Congratulations to the 3rd graders who had a successful Biome Bonanza yesterday.  We have several other special events coming up that will be shared by classroom teachers and I look forward to seeing many parents and family members in the school.

As we approach the end of the year, I would like to remind you of some procedures to keep our students safe.  The line to drop students off in the morning seems to be getting longer.  When possible, please have students take the bus to school.  If it is necessary to drive your child, please arrive between 8:30 and 8:45 a.m.  The door will close promptly at 8:50 a.m. as all students should be in their classrooms by this time as the school day is starting.  Children should exit the car on the right side so they don't have to walk between cars.  It is dangerous to let your child out of the car on the top layer of the parking lot as we do not want them running between moving cars.  If you arrive after 8:50 a.m., please park your car and walk your child into the building and sign them in.  Please do not send children around the circle by themselves.  The rules are in place to keep our children safe as this is the priority.  Your support is greatly appreciated as we work together to help our children.

You may have noticed the barricades in the front circle that prevent cars from driving through during school hours.  These are placed for safety purposes also and we appreciate you adjusting your routines to park in the visitors spots, in the parking lot, or on the blacktop during special events.  Please allow a few extra minutes if you need to pick up your child or drop something off during the day.
