Pink Day / Halloween Guidelines

Wear Pink on October 19!

The Brown School Student Council is asking students to wear pink for our "Pink Out" day to raise awareness for breast cancer on Friday, October 19. Students are asked to bring in a $1.00 donation (optional) which will be collected in homerooms! Donations will go to Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

Halloween Guidelines

On October 31, students are allowed to wear costumes. For all students who choose to dress in costume, we request they bring in a food item for the Madison Food Pantry. Items needed at this time are: tuna, soup, baked beans, children's juice boxes and snacks, and cake/cookie/brownie mix.

Halloween costume guidelines:

No masks, accessories (shields, swords, etc...) or parts that cause distractions (flashing lights, siren noises, large costume parts etc...).
No violent or inappropriate themes (please feel free to contact administrators or school counselors if you have questions about a particular costume).
Students need to be able to sit and speak comfortably in any costume.
Hats are allowed, but should not obstruct a student's ability to see in classrooms or in the hallways.
School rules apply related to dress code and appropriateness of costumes.
Any face paint or color hair dye/spray must be applied at home.

Please remember that this is completely voluntary for students. Our administration at Brown School completely supports student and family decisions related to costumes. Although October 31 is Halloween, it is also a regular school day and costumes should not interfere with learning.

Breakfast at Brown

The Brown School cafeteria is now selling ala carte breakfast items. We have cereal and muffins, and additional items will be added soon. Students may purchase breakfast items between 7:50 and 8:05 AM.

Session II Athletic Intramurals

Session II Athletic Intramural registration will take place Oct. 15 - 26. Courses offered are Volleyball, Girls Basketball and Boys Basketball. Registration forms are on our website or on our lobby table.
