Happy Monday Jeffrey Families, - This week there are two early dismissal days for students so staff can meet with parents. Early dismissal days will be on Wednesday, October 23rd and Thursday, October 24th. Students will be dismissed at 1:00 pm on both Wednesday and Thursday. Please plan accordingly for your child on these shortened days.
- Friday Night is JEFFREY NIGHT at the DHHS Football Game! Join us at the Surf Club dressed in your best black and gold. This is a special night for our students, as at 6:40 pm students will be invited to come down to the field in preparation for the opening ceremonies. Our students will be able to stand alongside the team for the coin toss and national anthem. This special event serves to celebrate the connection between the cheerleading/band/football program, and Jeffrey School. Before each home game, members from all 3 teams participate in the Touchdown for Character program where they read stories to elementary classes before each home football game. Our students really benefit from this partnership.
- The tradition of our Halloween Parade will continue this year on October 31st at 9:15 in the morning. Unfortunately, due to parking constraints, this event will be for students only. Don't worry- I promise to take lots of cute pictures for you! Please send your child to school dressed in costume over their regular clothing. After the parade, costumes will be removed and the "normal" school day will resume. I am asking that students not bring in any masks or fake weapons that may go along with their costume (e.g. pretend swords, ropes, etc.) Although these enhance a costume, they can be both distracting and unsafe in a school setting.
