May 11, 2020 May 11th Updates and Thank you, Mrs. Hogarth! Hello Jeffrey Community!
Here is my video update for this week:
I would also like to provide parents with the following information regarding Trimester III report cards. Please let me know if you have questions regarding the plan below…
All Madison Public Schools students will receive a Trimester III report card in June outlining progress with standards taught throughout the Distance Learning Program. Due to the unique nature of this program, we will not be issuing a standard progress report. In lieu of our standard report card, you will be provided a narrative summary of your child's progress for those Distance Learning Modules in which they participated.
More specifically…
Classroom teachers will provide a narrative report for ELA (reading, writing, word work), math, science and social studies. For each area, teachers will summarize specific student feedback that was given throughout Trimester III.
For ELA and math only, teachers will also communicate specific, instructional goal(s) for your child to focus on as next steps.
Related Arts teachers will give a "P" for participation to any student that either fully or partially participated in the optional Distance Learning Modules. Any subject areas in which your child did not participate will simply be left blank.
Report cards will be mailed directly to homes on June 18, 2020.
As always, please reach out to your child's teacher or to me with any questions.
We thank you for your flexibility and understanding through this new process.
