Monday, June 1, 2020 Driving Forth Correction: As a reminder, here is the information we sent last week describing Driving Forth:
We would like to invite families of 8th grade students to celebrate our traditional Stepping Forth ceremony by coming for a Driving Forth. A greeting area will be set up at the front of Polson and we invite families to drive down the DHHS driveway and form a line by the shed and auditorium entrance. Five cars at a time will be allowed to pull up to the front of the building and the students may exit the vehicle and walk up to the table. Family members must remain in the vehicle. Students (maximum of 5 at a time) will walk up to the table at the front of Polson to pick up their certificate of achievement. No contact will be made between students and staff including hand shakes. We encourage parents to take a photograph of their child in front of the balloons, tiger or Polson sign. Staff members will also be on the path/driveway to cheer, wave and say goodbye to our 8th graders. They have certainly deserved this recognition as they wrap up middle school and prepare for high school. In addition, we are working on creating a congratulatory video link with speeches, pictures, and recognitions for our 8th graders.
