Dear Polson Families,
Happy Friday! It has been a busy, but exciting week for all of us. Teachers learned how to instruct both in-person and remotely, worked out the kinks with technology, and connected with all students. As parents, I'm sure you also had a busy week learning to support your child in the new learning environment, creating a home schedule for when to access the "live learning sessions" and uploading the tasks assigned by teachers. While we recognize that there may have been a few glitches and staffing changes, we also know that everybody is doing their best. I truly appreciate all your support, dedication, and open lines of communication. The students are in great hands!
September 14-18 is a full week of school. Cohort A will participate in person on Monday and Tuesday. Cohort B will participate in person on Thursday and Friday. All students will participate remotely on Wednesday. Wednesday is a full school day and students should follow the regular schedule. The time of each class period differs by grade level and the full schedule can be found below.
Next week, our Polson Virtual Back-to-School Night will be held from 6:30 p.m. – 7:45 p.m. Information regarding how to log into these virtual informational sessions will be sent on Monday. Each team will present together so you can meet all the teachers and hear about the curriculum. Specific timeslots will also be allocated for Related Arts so you can connect with all your child's teachers.
Have a great weekend! If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to me at 203-245-6480 or at hartk@madison.k12.ct.us
Sincerely,
Kathryn Hart
