October 12, 2020 School Support
Good afternoon Daniel Hand High School community members:
As a follow-up to my Friday evening message, we are committed to supporting our students and staff during these difficult times. Several students and staff members have taken advantage of the support offered on Saturday and during the school day today. Although this week's schedule is a bit unusual, we want to be sure to support students and staff any way possible. For this reason, any student is welcome to visit Hand during school hours (7:25 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.) if they need support of any kind. More specifically, if a student is at home as a remote learner due to their specific cohort, they are welcome to come to Hand for support as guidance counselors and support staff will be available. We always appreciate knowing in advance if a student plans to come to our building, but advance notice is not necessary. Any student or staff member in need of support or just someone to talk with is encouraged to stop by during the school day this week.
As I mentioned on Friday, I ask that we support one another while keeping in mind that our guidance counselors, support staff, and administration are here to support you during these difficult times.
Parents and guardians, please pay extra attention to the needs of our children and young adults and do not hesitate to contact the school if there is anything you need.
Sincerely,
Mr. Salutari
