Dear Brown Families, I hope all is well with you and your family. As you know, we started "All In" last Thursday and I am pleased to report things are going well as we start our fifth day with our students. Tuesday we were tested with a cold and rainy day. Due to the weather, we were forced to have indoor recess. We piloted a couple of different models and overall I was pleased with the results. But we were back outside yesterday and today looks great. I continue to be impressed with our students and staff as we all work together to make Brown School a safe and positive working and learning environment. As I do daily, and I know our teachers do as well, please remind your children to socially distance and wash hands often. Reminder/Announcements: - Morning Drop Off: Please make sure students are exiting cars on the right side of the vehicle (curbside) for safety reasons. Also, Grade 4 drop offs, please pull up to the drop off sign as best you can before stopping and dropping off your child. This will allow for more cars in the front circle. Grade 5 drop off area, please keep an eye on the crosswalk prior to driving off. We have staff and visitors coming from the lower parking lot to the building.
- Parent – Teacher Conferences: You will be receiving sign up information from teachers for conferences. These will be done virtually. Conferences will be scheduled for the afternoons of October 21st and 22nd as well as November 3rd. Additional times will be offered to parents if they are unable to conference during these days.
-
Calendar Reminders: Early Dismissal (12:15 pm) October 21st and 22nd for Conferences and there is No School on Tuesday, November 3rd (Election Day). This is a work day for teachers so conferences will be scheduled. -
