May 17, 2021
Dear members of the Class of 2021,
As we prepare for graduation, I want to share an opportunity that I hope you will seriously consider. As you may know, there are four student speeches delivered during the graduation ceremony. Three of the speeches are delivered by the students who finished ranked in the top three of your class. The fourth speech is titled Class Remarks. All members of the Class of 2021 have the opportunity to write and submit a speech for consideration by the deadline detailed below. After a careful review of each submission, one student will be selected to deliver the Class Remarks. Again, all members of the Class of 2021 are invited to submit a speech for consideration.
If you are interested in delivering the Class Remarks, your speech should reflect on your experiences in the Madison Public Schools including specifics regarding your time at Daniel Hand High School. Responses to the following questions may be helpful and provide guidance as you write your speech:
Speeches must be submitted (hard-copy or email) to Mrs. Earles or Mr. Hajus by 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 1st. This is a hard deadline but feel free to submit earlier than the deadline of the June 1st.
Please contact me if you have any questions about this opportunity.
Stay healthy,
Mr. Salutari
