June 11, 2021 Final Early Dismissal Dear Ryerson Families,
There remains only one day of school to the 2020-2021 school year! While it is hard to believe, it is such an accomplishment to have completed this year so successfully despite all its challenges. Everyone on the hill deserves a relaxing and fun summer break!
Thank you to our custodial staff for ensuring the building remained clean, safe and well-maintained this year. Their attention to detail ensured all aspects of the school building were safe for our children to learn.
Thank you to our school nurse, Mrs. Fortsch! Mrs. Forstch steered the health office and ensured all of us – students to staff were well cared for, were provided immediate health care attention if needed and communicated to all the important information necessary to maintain a safe and healthy learning environment.
Thank you to our paraeducators. We are so fortunate in Madison to have these professionals working alongside our teachers daily to instruct, support and impact the progress of all learners. Our paraeducators "wear many hats" throughout the day. From monitoring lunch duty to reinforcing key concepts in small groups within the classroom setting, our school advances because of these men and women.
Thank you to our cafeteria staff. "Fun Lunch" to Pizza Day is a highlight here on the hill. And without fail, our staff delivered delicious meals with a smile to our little ones. There is nothing better than Miss Rita's pizza!
Thank you to Mrs. Solin for keeping the main office running smoothly and communicating all the important details to students, parents and teachers throughout this school year!
Thank you to Mr. McDowell and Officer Bull! These two gentlemen ensured the safety and well-being of all of us on the hill and maintained order at arrival and dismissal times. We are grateful for their support.
Thank you to our PTO! While the home-school partnership and connections were difficult this year, the PTO did not let that deter their efforts. These members continued to support our schools and provide our children and school with fun and important resources for future opportunities.
Thank you to our teachers! These outstanding professionals here on the hill showed on a daily basis the importance of educating our future generation! Whether it was remote or in-person, these teachers rose to the challenge daily and provided rich experiences for our students to engage in and grow from. We are so lucky here on the hill to have the finest educators impacting our youngest learners.
I am forever grateful to serve as the Instructional Leader here on the hill. It is because of all of these professionals that Ryerson is such as special place and remains an honor to be a part of. I look forward to next year and am very confident in saying, "better days lie ahead for us at KHR!"
While the year is ending, the learning should not end! Please be sure to access these resources to continue reading and learning with your child this summer.
