June 14, 2021 To our Polson Community:
We spent some time looking for just the right quote to start this message – just the right words to convey how proud we are of our Polson students, how indebted we are to our Polson faculty and staff, and how appreciative we are of the partnerships we've built with our Polson families during this past year. But no words yet spoken can do it justice, so we will say this: Thank you – thank you to each and every one of you who worked to provide a positive environment for our students in which to learn. As we close the school year, we want to congratulate our 6th graders for a successful first year of middle school, our 7th graders as they become our soon-to-be leaders of the school, and our outgoing 8th graders who, we know, will succeed in high school and beyond.
A special thanks to our 8th grade students and families for joining us this morning for a lively, albeit drenching, Promotion Celebration. Seeing the smiles of our students through the rain was the best part of the day for us. We're also grateful to Superintendent Dr. Craig Cooke and BOE Chair Galen Cawley for joining us to hand out promotion certificates. If your promotion certificate or program got wet, we are happy to print you a new one. Please contact Donna Peck at peckd@madison.k12.ct.us and she will take care of it for you.
As we write this, there are 12 minutes left to the 2020-2021 school year, and while we look forward to a few days off, we're actually very excited to begin planning for Polson's 2021-2022 school year.
See you in the fall!
