October 15, 2021 Early Dismissal & Other Happenings On The Hill Dear Ryerson Families,
Next week begins our parent-teacher conference week. Our teachers have been busy preparing for these informative sessions with each of you to share celebrations and instructional next steps for your child. During these conferences, the staff looks forward to communicating how your child has transitioned and is progressing academically, socially and emotionally within our learning environment. If you have not signed up for a conference yet, please do so. Classroom teachers will be sending "Zoom links" or "Google Meet" codes to families to access these conferences virtually this fall.
There are two scheduled early dismissal days next week to accommodate these conferences. Students will be dismissed on Wednesday, October 20th and Thursday, October 21st at 1:00 pm. Please plan accordingly for your child's dismissal on these days.
We are excited for our Halloween Spirit Week kicking off the week of October 25th. The information regarding each day has been sent home in prior correspondences. This "Spooktacular" week will culminate with a "Halloween Safety Magic Show". What a treat for our students in celebration of Halloween! We are very grateful to the KHR PTO for funding this school assembly for our students.
Lastly, I encourage all families missing a jacket, coat, sweatshirt or water bottle to swing by Ryerson School this weekend. Our lost and found located in the front entrance of the school is growing daily. There are some beautiful coats and sweatshirts hanging up ready to be "found" again!
I wish you all a wonderful weekend. If you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions; please feel free to reach out to me at 203-245-6440 or at spoonerk@madison.k12.ct.us
Sincerely,
Kelly K. Spooner |
