Dear Jeffrey Community,
I have good news to share today, as the Superintendent and I feel the conditions at Jeffrey are now safe to return to our 2021 Reopening Plan with lunch in the cafeteria, recess by grade level, and the resuming of student clubs and PTO workshops. We will do this Monday, December 6.
Today many of our families are electing to have their child(ren) get the 2nd dose of the COVID vaccine. If your family chooses to have your child vaccinated, please ensure that our health office has a copy of your child's vaccine card (You can email a screenshot to cutlerm@madison.k12.ct.us ). Students that are fully vaccinated (two weeks after the second dose) will no longer be considered a close contact and are not required to quarantine unless they are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19.
We appreciate your ongoing support and understanding as we continue to respond to the ever-changing conditions in our community. Please continue to send students to school with a mask and keep your child home if they show any signs of symptoms. I welcome your contact if you wish to discuss this further.
A reminder that next week is Spirit Week! We kick it off with PJ Day on Monday. We are asking for $1 donations for PJ Day to support The Connecticut Children's Hospital. Please help if you are able.
Have a wonderful weekend with your family,
Becky
