Good Afternoon Polson Families,
As shared in an earlier email by Dr. Cooke, school buildings will be updating a few procedures effective Tuesday, January 18th. At Polson, the following protocols will be in place for students and within the building:
•Students will return to eating in the cafeteria for lunch, and a classroom will be available for students who prefer to eat in a less-crowded setting.
•Desk shields will be available during lunch for students who wish to use them.
•All staff and students will wear a face mask when in the school building except for specific mask breaks.
Academic Intramurals
For those students registered to participate in winter after-school clubs, these sessions will begin the week of January 17th and the original end date will be extended 2 weeks. All clubs run for 10 sessions.
8th Grade Transition Dates to Remember
On Tuesday, January 18th, 8th grade students will attend a transition assembly with DHHS staff at 1:30 PM. Students who will be remote should join the Google Meet. Students will also receive their 9th grade course request forms which should be completed and returned to their homeroom teacher by Tuesday, January 25th. DHHS counselors will be visiting 8th grade classes to help students enter their course requests in Infinite Campus and answer any questions about the transition to 9th grade.
The Parent Orientation will be held on Tuesday, January 18th at 6:00 PM in the Dining and Assembly Hall (located in the west building of the high school). Due to COVID-19, masks must be worn correctly, no matter your vaccination status, to attend this event.
Please note that the snow date is Thursday, January 20th. This event is only for parents/guardians.
