School Day SAT
Good afternoon members of the Class of 2023 and their parents/guardians,
School Day SAT Overview
As a follow-up to the E-Notify sent this past Friday from Mr. Salutari, on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, all juniors will participate in the school day SAT. All members of the junior class should plan to report to DHHS in-person on March 30th. On this day, juniors will be excused from attending any academic classes. There also will be no additional school work expectations outside of completing the SAT on this day.
This year, the school day SAT is completely digital. All students will take the assessment on their school-issued Chromebook via a Secured Browser. Each Chromebook is already configured for testing and besides ensuring your device is working properly and is fully charged, there is nothing additional you will need to do prior to test day.
Pre-Administration
On Wednesday, March 16, 2022 all juniors will report to their testing locations during the Wellness Wednesday time. Testing locations will be displayed outside the School Counseling Department throughout the week. During this time, student will participate in a pre-administration session. This session will help students feel prepared for test day. They will gain familiarity with their testing location, meet their proctors and practice using the testing platform.
Arrival on Test Day
All juniors need to arrive to DHHS by 7:30 am. Busses will run their normal a.m. routes on this day.
Upon arrival, all juniors should report to the DAH. There, students will receive a light breakfast. At 7:55 am, students will transition into their testing locations. All juniors must be in their testing locations no later than 8:00 am. If any student arrives to their testing location after the test has begun, they cannot test on this day.
What to Bring on Test Day
On test day, students should bring the following materials:
- Photo ID (driver's license or school issued ID)
- Fully charged school-issued Chromebook
- Pens or pencils
- Calculator
- Extra batteries or a back-up calculator
- Water
- Simple snack*
- Please note, bringing a snack is optional, however the Dining &
Assembly Hall will not be serving lunch on this day. If you wish to
bring a snack, it must be something that can easily be consumed
during a short break in testing.
On test day, teachers are unable to supply any of these materials, especially calculators.
Dismissal on Test Day
The SAT is a timed test and completion times will differ slightly from room to room. Students will be dismissed once everyone in their specific testing room has completed the test and all of the test materials have been collected and accounted for.
Once your testing room has been dismissed, you must either report to the Library Media Center (LMC) to wait for busses to arrive at 2:00 pm or you may leave campus should you have the ability to drive yourself or have someone pick you up.
Should you require p.m. bus transportation on test day, please complete this brief Google Form so that bus routes can be formed accordingly.
