Dear Ryerson Families,
Report Cards are available today on Infinite Campus. Please be sure to take a moment today or during this weekend to review the progress your child has made in Trimester II. If you should have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to your child's teacher for more information. We are always ready and willing to share more information about your child.
Our Ryerson students have done it again! We seized the challenge from Unified Sports and our learning community completed a total of 228,787 jumping jacks. As a result of our tremendous efforts, the CT Unified Sports Association is sending our school its very own corn hole game. We are excited to have this new game as a part of our recess and PE classes.
As shared in earlier communications, parent visitors are allowed back into our school. We welcome this change. Classroom teachers will be communicating plans to be a part of their classroom for a "mystery reader" opportunities, a classroom celebration or other volunteer options. This communication will be shared by the teacher. If you have questions about opportunities, please reach out to the classroom teacher.
On Friday, April 1st we will be having a school spirit day. Show your Tiger Pride by wearing black and gold or your Ryerson/Madison "swag".
On Monday, April 4th, let's "Light it up Blue" in recognition of World Autism Day. All Ryerson staff and students are encouraged to wear blue on the 4th.
I encourage all families to ask your children about the change to our Ryerson Morning Announcements. Our morning announcements are now "live" and streamed into all classrooms. Our morning news "on the hill" is led by our Future Grade 3 Leaders. It has been such a fun and successful way to start our day!
I wish you all a wonderful weekend. It is hard to believe we will be entering the final week of March next week and are three weeks away from our April break!
If you have any questions, concerns, and/or suggestions, I encourage you to reach out to me at spoonerk@madison.k12.ct.us or at 203-245-6440.
Sincerely,
Kelly K. Spooner
