Dear Brown Families,
Today our Grade 5 students have a fun day planned at Camp Hazen and the weather has certainly cooperated. Looking at next week:
Monday: Grade Level Celebrations. Grade 4 will start the day with 2 hours of field day activities followed by a BBQ lunch and then to classrooms for the afternoon. Grade 5 will start the day in classrooms and then have a BBQ lunch followed by 2 hours of field day activities. The lunch is free of charge. We will also have an ice cream truck courtesy of the Brown PTO.
Tuesday: In the morning we will have a Hot Air Balloon landing on the upper field. After the landing, the pilot will do a demonstration for the students outside followed by classroom visits by the pilot and his assistant for questions and answers. This is a fun presentation with science connections. (No students will be allowed in the balloon carriage.)
Wednesday: Brown Yearbooks will be distributed to all students. The Brown PTO has paid for Yearbooks for all students so there is no charge.
Locker Clean Out/Lost and Found: We will do a formal locker clean out during the week. Please encourage your child to start that process early next week. Additionally, the Brown Lost and Found remains full of quality merchandise. Please encourage your child to visit and look for that missing water bottle or sweatshirt.
Chromebooks: Grade 5 students will take their district issued chromebook and charger home for the summer and bring it to Polson for next year. Grade 5 students who are moving or not attending Polson should leave their chromebook and charger with their Homeroom teacher. Grade 4 students will leave their chromebook here at Brown. Upon return to school in August they will be issued their chromebook and charger.
Medications: Reminder, all medications that are in the Health Office need to be picked up by Thursday, June 16th. Epipens and inhalers are the only medications we can send home with students.
Have a great weekend.
Thanks,
Frank
