Good afternoon Daniel Hand High School community:
Class of 2022
Congratulations to the Class of 2022! I am looking forward to seeing the positive impact this group of impressive young adults has as they take the next exciting step in their lives.
DHHS Faculty and Staff
As I mentioned during graduation, I would like to publicly thank the Daniel Hand faculty and staff for the student-centered efforts this year. This year was more challenging and exhausting than most of us expected. The student-centered focus by this group of professionals is greatly appreciated.
Summer Reading
The Daniel Hand High School Summer Reading list is now available on the DHHS website.
Students in all grades are expected and encouraged to read over the summer. Under the Course Specific Suggestions page, each English course has a list of suggested titles to help guide readers to make meaningful selections. While there is no required reading list, consistent with English classroom expectations, students are expected to continue to work toward their personal reading goals and academic reading goal of two hours of reading per week. As a result of that time reading, a minimum of four titles should be completed by the start of the 2022-23 school year. The majority of titles that appear on the list are recommendations from your classmates. Students in AP and/or certain Honors classes have specific requirements and work is due prior to the start of school, see the Honors & AP Requirements page.
This will be the last E-Notify of the 2021-22 School year. I would like to thank the school community for your support over this past school year. For your information, our office hours during the summer months will be 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
As always, feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
Enjoy the summer and stay healthy,
Mr. Salutari
