Dear Ryerson Families,
It has been a "spooktacular week" on the hill for our students and staff. We had a fun Family Book Night on Wednesday. What a great night it was for our students to trick or treat throughout the school hallways in costume, listen to Halloween stories read-aloud and shop at the Book Fair! In addition to this fabulous night, our second and third graders were treated to an orchestra strings concert from DHHS filled with spooky music to enjoy. We have ended the week on a very high note with a Halloween Laser Light Show for all today! The squeals and laughter from the children during this performance made for an awesome event!
But wait! There is more! Halloween is on Monday and what fun we have in store for our students. We have a Halloween Safety Magic Show in the morning and each classroom has fun holiday plans in the classroom on Monday. I can't wait to see all our students (and staff) in their Halloween costumes on Monday!
I would like to thank the PTO and all the volunteers at the Book Fair this week. The Book Fair was a huge success and would not have been possible without our volunteers. We appreciate all the time and effort given to Ryerson and our students. It certainly does take a "village" to make this place so special!
On November 8th, school will be closed for staff professional development. Please plan accordingly.
On November 10th, KHR will honor Military Veterans with a Veteran's Day Assembly. All those who served or are serving in the military are invited to attend our assembly on November 10th at 2:45 pm. We are asking all students to wear red, white and blue on this day.
Mark your calendar! Our next General PTO meeting is scheduled for Monday, November 14th at 7:00 pm. We look forward to seeing you all there!
Have a great weekend! Enjoy the beautiful weather in store for us! If you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions; please contact me at 203-245-6440 or at spoonerk@madison.k12.ct.us
Sincerely,
Kelly K. Spooner
