Dear Polson Parents & Guardians,
Today our eighth graders experienced Career Day. The day began with students learning about how to fill out a job application and some tips for interviewing. From there, they enjoyed our keynote speaker, WTNH news anchor Laura Hutchinson, who talked to them about the path she took through college to achieve her dream job. In the afternoon, students attended small workshop sessions to learn about a variety of careers including a chef, electrician, firefighter, author, and more. Many thanks to the local business people who joined us and to the PTO for providing light refreshments for our honored guests. It was a great day!
The Student Council is sponsoring a Food Drive and will be collecting items through November 22nd. The students have set a goal of 750 items, and if they reach it, they will earn a movie and a day without homework. Please consider donating in order to help local families in need.
Blizzard of Giving runs from November 28th - December 6th. Please donate gift cards of any amount to help out local families during this holiday season.
