To the families of our Grade 8 period 3 Spanish class, As we come to the end of trimester two, we want to thank Ms. Sasha Gauley for teaching our 8th graders this trimester. The students were welcoming and engaged, and Ms. Gauley thoroughly enjoyed her time at Polson. She heads back to Daniel Hand this week and we welcome Mr. Orlando Estrada to Polson to teach the class for trimester 3. Mr. Estrada has worked at Jeffrey Elementary School this year and is a native speaker. He has taught in Venezuela, China and the Dominican Republic and brings knowledge of culture as well as the Spanish language. He will work closely with our team of Polson teachers and Leslie Lopez, the K-8 World Language coordinator, to ensure a smooth transition to the curricular content of trimester 3. I appreciate your understanding throughout the year as I know it is not ideal to have a different teacher each trimester. However, I am confident that the students have received high quality instruction and that we will continue to provide a positive experience for them. Please do not hesitate to reach out to Orlando or Leslie, both of whom are copied here, and you can always email or call me, as well. Sincerely,
Kathryn Hart Principal |
