What to Do When an Athlete is Injured

1. REPORT IT

Tell the coach and/or Athletic Trainer right away. Do not hide an injury to stay in practice or competition.

3. MEDICAL CARE, IF NEEDED

If emergency care is needed, emergency procedures are followed, and the parent/guardian is contacted. If a doctor or other medical provider restricts participation, the athlete must remain out of participation until full written medical clearance is received.
