DHHS Attends SAVE Conference in Philadelphia

Students Natalie Valentine, Sofia Rastelli, Lilla Schreiner, and advisor Erica Browne attended the National SAVE Promise club youth summit in Philadelphia.  They got to hear from speakers like Nicole Hockley, co-founder of Sandy Hook Promise, and Dawne Orange, whose son Alex was also killed by gun violence prompting his classmates to start the first SAVE club. These mothers spoke about the importance of youth voices and activism in making schools safe.

The DHHS SAVE promise Club attended student-led workshops and returns to CT excited to bring new ideas to our club and the school community!
