DHHS Participates in Honor Band Festival

The Connecticut chapter of the American School Band Directors Association (ASBDA) held its annual Honor Band Festival on November 13th at Maloney High School in Meriden. Directors from around the state nominate their students for inclusion in either the Symphonic Band or Wind Ensemble and this year ten Daniel Hand musicians were selected to participate: seniors Lucy Alletzhauser, Ian Lehman, Joyce Li, Aiden Creller, Addy Morada, and Rachel Gentil; juniors Keily Butsch, Ellie Catalfo, and Will Cassidy; and sophomore Jude Cappiello. Students rehearsed during the day with renowned conductors and performed a concert for the public in the evening. Congratulations to our DHHS musicians on this accomplishment!
