DHHS Students Visit Québec
February 2020 - The 2020 trip to Montréal and Québec City returned late Monday, February 17th after four very full days of winter fun. Twenty-three students in grades 10-12 from DHHS spent time in the cities of Montréal, Trois-Rivières, and Québec City. The Québec Winter Carnival, dog-sledding, an exhibit on classic Québec culture, a visit to an ice fishing village, eating plenty of poutine - the heavy local dish of French fries, cheese curds and gravy, dancing and learning to play spoons at a sugar shack, enjoying a lumberjack dinner, skating, sledding and, of course, touring and shopping in the old ports of Montreal and Quebec were some of the highlights of the experience. This trip is organized by the World Language (French) department at Daniel Hand.
