Marine Science Students Conduct Field Study at West Warf

Marine Science & Technology students have been conducting studies at Madison’s West Warf beach over the past two weeks. Students have been using large nets to count wildlife in the area at varying tides. The study is part of the course’s unit focused on exploring local costal ecology including the rocky shore, sandy shore, estuaries and salt marsh. Field studies are conducted on each marine ecosystem to support student understanding of unit concepts.
