Spanish Club Marks Hispanic/Latinx Heritage Month

Spanish Club students created a special display throughout the halls of Hand in honor of Hispanic/Latinx Heritage month which ran from Sept. 15 – Oct. 15. Students each selected an impactful Hispanic/Latinx person and gathered a couple interesting facts, basic life information, and a famous quote to share and then displayed them on a bulletin board. Students then filled a display case full of cultural objects representing a variety of Latin American countries including Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Guatemala, and Argentina. On another bulletin board, students posted two photos (one of a famous historical landmark and the other a famous landscape) along with a QR code for students and staff to guess where in the Spanish-speaking world you can find both the landmark and landscape. Prizes were awarded to the top respondents.
