Integrated Preschool Program Hours and Information

The Madison Public Schools Integrated Preschool Program offers flexible attendance options based on each child's needs.

For tuition-paying peer models, families may choose from the following attendance options:

  • Morning Session: 9:00 AM – 11:45 AM
  • Afternoon Session: 12:15 PM – 3:00 PM
  • Full Day Session: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

For students who qualify for special education services, the schedule is determined by the Planning and Placement Team (PPT) based on the student’s individual needs. Most children receiving special education services attend for a half-day session, although schedules may vary.

  • The morning session is typically designed for 3- and young 4-year-old children.
  • The afternoon session focuses on kindergarten readiness and is designed for older 4- and 5-year-old children.

Students receiving special education services are eligible for free transportation to and from the program. The District also provides transportation to and from daycare programs located within Madison.

Additional Notes:

  • Lunch is provided only for full-day students between 11:45 AM and 12:15 PM.
  • Snack time is included in both the morning and afternoon sessions.
