Assessments - Overview
Assessments are essential tools for measuring academic progress, ensuring students are mastering key skills and knowledge required for future success. Specialized assessments, such as the Connecticut Alternate Assessment (CTAA) and the Connecticut Alternative Science Assessment (CTAS), ensure that all learners, including those with unique needs, are evaluated appropriately.
The PSAT and SAT are administered annually in the fall and spring, respectively, to assess college readiness in areas such as reading, writing, and math, helping students prepare for higher education opportunities.
