2024-2025 Teacher and ParaEducator of the Year
At Convocation on August 23, the District celebrated the 2024-2025 Teacher of the Year David Buller from Daniel Hand High School and ParaEducator of the Year Ken Jarvis from Polson Middle School. Both David and Ken were nominated for this honor by their peers and selected by a committee of previous award recipients.
Teacher of the Year David Buller
Mr. Buller teaches Mathematics and Computer Science at Daniel Hand High School. He has been teaching for 24 years after entering the teaching field as a second career in 2000. His colleagues describe Mr. Buller as a kind, humble individual who is always looking to grow as a teacher, continually seeking out new learning to improve his instructional approach and to stay ahead of the technological advances. He is a caring a dedicated educator, athletic coach, and volunteer who always puts students and his community first.
ParaEducator of the Year Ken Jarvis
Mr. Jarvis is a Special Education ParaEducator at Polson Middle School. He has worked in the District for four years and his colleagues describe him as someone who does so much more than his job description. He’s a team para, a one-on-one para, a teaching assistant, a contributor, and a collaborator, all of which have made him an invaluable part of the Polson community. Known for his great ability to connect and support students, Mr. Jarvis is a pillar of support for all students and staff at Polson.
