Blizzard of Giving Raises Thousands of Dollars

That’s another generous holiday season on the books from the Madison Public School community. Through the annual “Blizzard of Giving”, a holiday drive benefiting shoreline families – specifically kids ages 11-18  who are often largely forgotten by toy and gift drives – the Brown Intermediate and Polson Middle School communities raised over $5,600 in donations of gift cards and cash.

Donations now go to Madison Youth and Family Services to be distributed across the shoreline. Blizzard organizer Brown School Nurse Valerie Alberti said she is very thankful for all the donations.

“The families, staff and friends have been so incredibly generous,” she said. “I can’t thank everyone enough!”
