Elementary Field Trip

Ryerson/Jeffrey Students take a Trip to Bauer Park

This week second grade students at Ryerson and Jeffrey Elementary School had their first field trip of the year. Students headed to Bauer Park for some hands-on learning. They explored the community garden looking at the many different plants.  Students labeled the parts of a corn stalk, looked closely at flowers, and investigated different soil types to see which kind holds water best. This trip launches the newly adopted second grade science curriculum.
