Start With Hello Week
This week Polson Middle School and Brown Intermediate School joined hundreds of other schools and youth organizations across the country to take part in “Start with Hello Week”, a program sponsored by Sandy Hook Promise. The program aims to combat social isolation and create a “culture of inclusion” at each school through fun and simple activities.
Throughout the week and beyond, students are encouraged to think about the ways they can include, connect with and cooperate with others. Brown and Polson schools participated with announcements made in the morning, flyers, a bulletin board and activities at the lunch table like sentence starters, ice breakers and other fun tools to encourage conversations.
By participating in “Start with Hello Week”, the both school communities demonstrated their commitment to maintaining a culture of inclusion and connectedness. To learn more about the program, visit the Sandy Hook Promise website.
