Freshmen Information

Welcome Class of 2027

Hello Freshmen!

The School Counseling Department would like to extend a warm welcome and let you know that your counselor is here for you during your transition into high school. The beginning of high school can be both exciting and, for some, perhaps a bit overwhelming. Counselors are always available to you in the building, phone or email.

Here are some helpful tips to get you adjusted to freshman year:

  • Become familiar with the various websites of DHHS High School and all the helpful information that is available and updated regularly. Along with the School Counseling pages, be sure to also check out:
    • The DHHS Library Media Center website offers numerous links to great reads and helpful academic databases.
    • The Student Hub is loaded with everything you need to know for student life at DHHS and provides connection to the numerous clubs and activities. We encourage you to review all the opportunities DHHS has to offer and explore your interests.
  • Make an appointment to meet with your school counselor during a study hall. This can easily be done through email or by stopping in the counseling office. If you are unsure who your counselor is please refer to the assignment list or stop by the counseling office.

Looking forward to a great year and we hope to see you soon!
