Kindergarten Adopt a Tree Program

Our Kindergarten students had a great time this month “adopting” at tree at Jeffrey school. As part of the science curriculum, students will observe the changes the tree undergoes throughout the seasons. Madison Beach & Rec Environmental Education Coordinator Julie Ainsworth guided students through the first observations which included looking at the tree with microscopes, doing bark rubbings, looking at the tree with toilet paper tube binoculars, and drawing what they observed.
