Absence Requests - Infinite Campus - Madison Public Schools

Starting with the 2024-2025 school year, parents/guardians of students in Grades 6-12 will now use Infinite Campus to submit all absence requests for their students. See instructions below for navigating the Absence Request system:

NOTE: For the 2024-25 school year, grades 6 & below (Brown, Ryerson, Jeffrey) will continue attendance reporting via phone to their appropriate school offices as outlined in their handbooks.

Submit a New Request

1. Log into Infinite Campus and click the Absence Request button on the homepage.

2. Mark the student for whom you are submitting the absence request and select the reason the student will be absent from the Excuse dropdown list.

3. Select the Absence Type. There are three options:

Full Day Absence
This option allows you to submit a request for an entire day. You may
request more than one day. Be sure to enter the dates in the First Day
and Last Day fields.

Arrive Late
If you select the Arrive Late option, enter the time your student will arrive in the Arrival Time field.

Leave Early
If you select the Leave Early option, enter the time your student will
leave in the Departure Time field.

4. Enter Comments about the absence reason. Comments are limited to 100 characters.

5. Click Submit when finished.
