Blizzard of Giving
The Polson Middle School community joined with Brown Intermediate School for the holiday drive benefiting shoreline families known as the “Blizzard of Giving”. The drive benefits kids ages 11-18, an age group that of often forgotten by toy and gift drives. Tomorrow, Friday December 13, is the last day to donate!
The schools partner with Shoreline Youth and Family services by collecting gift cards that will then be distributed across the region to those in need this holiday season. Suggested gift cards include: , R.J. Julia's, CVS, Justice, Forever 21, Dicks Sporting Goods, Old Navy or any of your other favorite local places.
This is the fourth year of the “Blizzard of Giving” drive at Brown and the first year at Polson. School Counselor Rachel Kilian, who is spearheading the drive at Polson, said the school community is happy to participate in this worthy cause.
“We were invited to participate this year and it’s a great way to further partner with Madison Youth and Family Services to benefit shoreline families,” she said.
Thus far the Polson community has raised a little over $400 in gift cards and cash donations. Donations can be gift cards or cash donations. Donations will be collected in homerooms until Friday, December 13.
