Career Day at Polson Fall 2022

Today our eighth graders experienced Career Day. The day began with students learning how to fill out a job application and as well as some tips for interviewing. From there, they enjoyed our keynote speaker, WTNH news anchor Laura Hutchinson, who talked to them about the path she took through college to achieve her dream job. The focus of her message was “You are in control. You have all the years ahead of you to make your dreams happen. Keep an open mind to other options as you pursue your goals.” In the afternoon, students attended small workshop sessions to learn about a variety of careers. They heard from a chef, electrician, firefighter, author, scientist, loan officer, police officer, economics professor, businessman, and even our very own Mrs. Hart! Many thanks to the local business people who joined us and to the PTO for providing light refreshments for our honored guests. It was a great day!
