Grade 6 Science Students Make Ice Cream!
Sixth grade students in Mrs. Kahrimanis’ science class conducted a pretty sweet experiment last week – making ice cream! Students are learning about matter and phase changes. The experiment was to facilitate a phase change from liquid to solid using ice and salt to lower the temperature of the cream and sugar and freeze it. Students encountered a few challenges during the experiment so finally being able to produce ice cream was certainly a rewarding end result!
